Tunnels: Canal du Nivernais

Breuilles tunnel (212 metres)

This rock and stone lined tunnel is on the Canal du Nivernais was opened in 1842. This is the eastern of three tunnels close together at the summit of the canal.

The tunnels are near the village of Baye.

The tunnels are all one way and traffic light controlled at the extreme ends of the three tunnels. Entry is not allowed until all three tunnels are clear.
