Curdworth tunnel (57 yards)
This short tunnel runs under the village of Curdworth and has a single towpath running through it. It was opened in 1789, is brick lined and allows single way traffic only
This is the only bona fide tunnel on the Birmingham & Fazeley canal. There are longer tunnels when the canal reaches Birmingham but they are not really tunnels as they are formed by factories/warehouses being built across the canal, e.g. Erdington warehouses.
